The Gift of Custom Framing Lasts a Lifetime

‘What to give!?!’  It’s a challenge that faces all of us at some time, and custom framing might be the perfect solution!  Anniversaries, graduations, weddings, retirements, special milestones — even times of grief — are all occasions that people mention when they come into the gallery with a treasure to be framed.

A custom-framed gift will be treasured for a lifetime and possibly become a family heirloom.  As a piece of art, it will be seen daily, whether in a public or private place in the home – or on a prominent wall in the office. And, when admired, the receiver is sure to tell the story behind the treasure and name the thoughtful giver.

Pictured below is a shadowbox filled with Notre Dame memorabilia, decades-worth of ticket stubs, and a note from a legendary coach. Are there stories to tell here??? What an understatement . . . !

Here’s another example: A first date was a great live concert. A first anniversary gift was the concert poster custom framed . . . aaaah!

Let’s talk about how this works:

First, you don’t have to have all the details planned before contacting your custom framer.  An heirloom, or a photo, or a group of objects, or a special graphic design could be a starting point.  Call ahead to meet with Pam, bring your treasures, and we’ll brainstorm together.

Second, your thoughts and our expertise will be blended to develop one or more design concepts, along with pricing.

Third, with your approval, we go into small manufacturing mode, ordering materials and executing the assembly of the project.  We maintain a modest inventory of frames and mats, so some projects can be managed within one-two days, while average turn-around is 2 weeks. When time is really precious, we’ll do our very best to deliver.

As the prime gift-giving time of year approaches, think about custom framing for your loved ones. The word “custom” says it all!   To our fans, thanks for thinking of Art & Frame on Main as a place to solve your gifting needs.  Know that we feel extremely rewarded when someone says, “It’s perfect!”
